ISO 22000 certification is a requirement to be able to deliver and -produce feed to pig producers in the Danish scheme. This gives Danish pig producers who are part of the Danish scheme the opportunity to export live pigs and / or pork on the German market.

All finished feed producers and home mixers must ensure that suppliers are on the positive list of certified companies. This will be checked during a Danish visit to the property.

The Danish Product Standard must ensure and document that Danish pig herds live up to Danish legislation and industry requirements, with a special focus on good animal welfare, high food safety and clear traceability in all Danish pig herds.

With the Danish scheme, Danish pig producers can account for all stages of production and document that they live up to the quality scheme’s objectives and requirements. It provides security for both consumers and customers worldwide.
